DAVID STOKER ELECTED AS TRUST REP TO LIVI BOARD

After today's Election for the first ever LiviforLife Trust Representative to the Board of Livingston FC, we are delighted to announce that David Stoker is the elected representative.

We recognise that the postponement of the scheduled match against Queen's Park meant that some members who intended to vote did not make it to the stadium.

The count was made by Jim Leishman, acting as independent returning officer, when he arrived for tonight's Burns Supper at the club, and was overseen by the Trust Board Election Working Group. The result was then announced to the audience before the dinner got underway.

The Trust Board would like to thank all at the Club who have made this vision a reality, particularly Chief Executive Ged Nixon, and we look forward to making this role a success on behalf of the Trust membership. It is very satisfying to know that the Club recognize the value the Supporters Trust can bring to the Club, and the excellent contributions the Trust has already made this season. The Board would also like to congratulate David Stoker on his election and wish him well for his two-year tour of duty.

This is a special day for both Club and supporters, and we hope many more Livi fans will join the Trust and support your Representative in the Livi FC Boardroom.

IMPORTANT DATE - ELECTION OF TRUST REP TO CLUB BOARD

Dear Livi for Life Member

The LFL Board calls on all Trust members to participate in the upcoming Election of a Trust Representative to the Board of Livingston Football Club.

This is a fantastic and very positive step forward for both Club and Trust, and will establish a strong working relationship between us for many years to come, as well as giving ordinary supporters of the Club a voice at boardroom level. This position is reward for the hard work which has gone on over the last few months as the Trust has sought to firstly help rescue the club from almost certain liquidation, and secondly help secure a sustainable future for our great club.

All members should have received an envelope in December providing details of the post itself, plus the election process, along with the manifestos of the candidates. For this first Trust Rep post the Club requested that the nominees came from the existing Trust Board, to ensure continuity with the ongoing work being done over this season and next. The chosen representative will fulfil the role for a two-year term.

The two candidates standing for election are David Stoker and David Wilson.

The Election date has been set as Saturday 30th January, and will take place at the club. It is very important that you cast your vote and enable the Trust to fulfill one of our key aims - representation within the Club Board - something we have worked towards for some time.

On the 30th, you will have plenty opportunity before and after that day’s home game (against Queen’s Park) to pick up a voting paper and register your vote for your chosen candidate. The candidate manifestos should help you in your decision. Your attendance at the election will be recorded on the list of Trust members, and you will be supplied with a ballot paper. You will record your vote and place it in the ballot box provided. Once the voting is closed, the votes will be counted in the presence of an independent observer, and the result will be announced.

Your votes are important, so we would be grateful if you would make every effort to attend the election. If you are unable to do so, you can cast a vote by proxy, provided that vote is cast by a fellow Trust member. This will enable members who are partners and spouses of Trust members, but who don't normally attend matches, to cast their vote.

Our AGM will be coming up in a few weeks, and this gives every LiviforLife Trust member the opportunity to stand for election to the LFL Board. Assisting the Trust as an elected Board member will then give you the opportunity to put yourself forward as a candidate in future elections for Trust Representative to the Livingston FC Board.

In summary, both Livingston FC and the LFL Trust Board are excited about this opportunity to establish a strong link between supporters and club, through the election of a Trust Representative to the Club Board, and ask for your support to make it reality.

We look forward to seeing you casting your vote on the 30th.

Thank you
LiviforLife Trust Board
